Junk removal in Amarillo usually starts with something that will not fit in a city cart and cannot wait for the next bulky item collection. A couch after new furniture arrives. A garage that swallowed the second parking space. A rental unit a tenant left full on the last day of the month. We clear all of it from wherever it currently sits, on a flat price agreed before anyone lifts anything.

We also run the other side of it. If the free City of Amarillo route would solve your problem and you are not against a deadline, we will say so rather than quote you. That is what the city pickup guide and the landfill guide on this site are for.

The honest list

What goes on the truck, and what cannot

We take

  • Furniture, mattresses, box springs and bed frames
  • Appliances, including fridges and freezers with freon
  • TVs, monitors, printers and general electronics
  • Garage, attic, shed and storage unit contents
  • Construction debris, drywall, lumber and roofing tear off
  • Yard waste, brush, tree limbs and storm debris
  • Hot tubs, sheds, playsets, decking and fencing
  • Scrap metal, water heaters, exercise equipment and grills

We cannot legally take

  • Wet paint and solvents. Dry it out with kitty litter and it becomes regular trash, or take it to household hazardous waste.
  • Motor oil, fuel and antifreeze. Auto parts stores on Amarillo Blvd take used oil back for free.
  • Asbestos and lead materials. Needs a licensed abatement contractor, not a junk truck.
  • Medical or biohazard waste. Sharps and clinical waste go through a licensed medical disposal route.
  • Live ammunition and propane. Empty, valve removed propane tanks are fine. Full ones are not.
  • Loose tires in bulk. We take up to four. More than that needs a scrap tire hauler manifest.

Every one of those has a route, and the hazardous waste guide covers each in turn.

How truck bed volume is divided into load brackets

Volume pricing means a tightly loaded pile costs less than a stacked one, which is why the crew loading efficiently is working in your interest too. Weight based items like concrete, tile and soil price differently, and we say so up front rather than at the end.

On the job

What an Amarillo job actually looks like

A two car garage part way through a cleanout
Garage cleanouts sorted into keep, donate and haul before anything loads
A roll off dumpster on a residential driveway
Roll off dumpsters when debris arrives over days rather than in one pile
A loaded box truck crossing the flat Texas Panhandle
Scheduled route days across the Panhandle at in town prices
Coverage

Where we run

Amarillo and Canyon are daily. Bushland is on the west route. Borger, Pampa, Dumas and Hereford run on scheduled days, which keeps the price the same as an in town job rather than adding a drive charge.

FAQ

Amarillo junk removal questions

How much does junk removal cost in Amarillo?

Pricing works by the fraction of the truck your material fills, from a single item minimum load up to a full sixteen cubic yard truck. Every bracket is published on our pricing page rather than quoted only on the doorstep.

Do you charge extra for stairs or a long carry?

No. Stairs, second floor apartments and long carries are labor variations inside a job already priced by volume. A quote that rises once the crew sees the stairs was quoted low deliberately.

Can you come today?

Usually, if you call before 2pm on a weekday. We hold two afternoon windows open every day for same day work, and same day costs the same as a booking made a week out.

What will you not take?

Wet paint, solvents, fuel, automotive fluids, asbestos, medical waste, live ammunition, full propane cylinders and bulk tires. All of them have another route and our hazardous waste guide covers each one.

Do you serve Canyon and the surrounding towns?

Yes. Amarillo and Canyon are daily. Borger, Pampa, Dumas and Hereford run on scheduled route days so the price stays the same as an in town job.

Is it cheaper to use the city bulky item pickup?

Free is cheaper than paid, so if your pile fits the program and nothing depends on the date, use it. Our bulky item guide explains what the program refuses and when the wait becomes the expensive part.

No site visit, no sales call, no range that firms up once a crew is standing in your driveway. A wide shot of the pile is enough for a fixed price on most jobs.
